LitmusBox produced the first version of SandHill.com in 2004. With our third major release of the popular enterprise software media site, we reassessed it from the ground up. We reviewed all of their existing content (spanning nearly 1,000 articles), along with their ideas for the future, and built an entirely new content scheme.
The new site has 2 main business objectives: draw in new readers (through a combination of search engine optimization and retargeting content to new audiences), and to keep readers on the site for longer. Part of what we did to help draw in new readers was using cross-indexed content by Topic and Channel, to create pages specifically tailored for certain types of readers.
To complete this task while maintaining both the desktop site and mobile version, LitmusBox incorporated Web Consulting, Information Architecture, UX Design, Graphic Design, Frontend Production, Mobile Web Production and LAMP Backend Production using WordPress.
